Useless in iOS 13. No support. Product has been abandoned. I can’t use my lights anymore as with iOS 13 the app just crashes making $150 worth of lights completely useless.

This app (and therefore the device) is unusable now after upgrading to the newest iOS. Please update the app.
App now freezes in iOS 13.1.1. Unusable. And because the app is unusable, the bulbs are useless.
Had problems every once and while before iOS 13 but nothing major. Now since the update I can’t even change my lights they are stuck on the last setting I had them on which was the least used setting I normally would use just happened to use it that day. Now I can’t even have my lights on in my office because I can’t work with that light setting and can’t change it. The app just sits there and doesn’t respond to anything. Makes my expensive light bulbs worthless if I can’t change them.
App basically doesn’t function at all, most just hangs
The app and bulbs are now useless under iOS 13. Please update the app. I have tried several other app-controller color changing lightbulbs and none of them even come close to the quality provided by Avea. I don’t understand why they’re no longer being made.
While avea still works with ios12 devices it doesn’t with 13. Whatever Bluetooth changes Apple made and Elgato not updating the app, the app and bulbs are now useless.
Just updated to iOS 13, app does not respond to any gestures. Please fix
I’m satisfied with the color customization, and the level of brightness control is nice. I really wish there was a timer feature to turn off. **UPDATE ** As of iOS 12/watchOS 5, the app is no longer working on the Apple Watch.
With today’s release of iOS 11.3, HomeKit Support should now be possible through software authentication as opposed to the device itself needing Apple’s special chip to ensure authenticity. This means, theoretically, that a firmware/software upgrade could allow devices designed before HomeKit was even a thing, to work with HomeKit. It would also be nice to see the app take advantage of the iPhone X screen size.
It will be so awesome if we could connect it through Apple Home.
At unboxing no problems with app or lamp, will update later.
This used to work with my iPhone 6, now with the 7 if cant find the device via bluetooth.
Just bought and we will see what the functionality it like. Elgato should have the eve 2.0 app recognize it.. But sadly it does not.
Anything fast color full mod please!!!
More control over the colors and maybe a way to drop a color. Maybe more themes I'd be willing to pay for the right price but if it's over a dollar we should be able to test before we buy.
Wild be nice to see HomeKit incorporated into the app so Siri can be used to control the lights. Other than that, much more control over the color of the light would also be a plus. As of now, it's extremely limited. Maybe also something where you can customize your own scene?
The watch app is done broke.
No way to select your own custom color from a photo. No way to select a custom color from an RGB color picker. Your forced to use only 6 solid colors, that you can barely warm or cool. There are ample animated mood light settings but I would rather be able to reproduce a color from a photo, like a sunset. I bought the bulb assuming that it would have custom controls like the Phillips Hue, I was wrong. PS no third party apps either. Hue has several music / party third party apps.
Easy to install and easy to use this product has a lot potential please integrate it to IFTT system
Is it possible to control 2 lights with the same settings at the same time? I have two lights in my room and i wold like to link and sychronize both lights.
Phone all works well enough, and has a simple on/off in the top right corner to go back to the last setting. the watch doesn't. I like to use the light in white mode (there should be a white Mode on the main page on the phone) but on the watch I have to scroll down and go to colors and then choose white. One touch of an on/off button would solve all that. Thanks.
Compared to other offerings, Avea is an outstanding value. I have found, however that the bulb tends toward the cool side of the color spectrum. "White" looks like a fluorescent light - even when tuned as warm as it will go. I was hoping the software would allow me to tune just about any color in the spectrum but, instead, your are limited to a handful of preset colors. Also, the software has no schedule feature other than the Wake-up setting that allows you to set the light to turn on at a predetermined time (but no setting to turn the lamp off).
I love this bulb! From the moment I read about it on the blogs I knew I had to have it. I waited and waited and checked the order page and managed to get the bulb the first day it went on sale. I've had it since and it's been great. It's a great alternative to the Phillips hue lights... The Bluetooth is usually reliable and the few times I've had trouble a simple unplug has been enough to resolve my issue. I love the app with this product as well. It does a great job at capturing cool scenes. I do however feel it could offer more control over the bulb than just colors. A self timer would be fantastic, say turn off in 30minutes sort of thing. I would also love the ability to create my own scenes, sequence color changes, or do strobe style effects. I've even seen some other bulbs do things like flash certain colors if you have any notifications. Maybe it was done through IFTT? Anyways ultimately I love the device just wish I had more control but who knows if we'll see that in the coming time, when it happens it will elevate this product tremendously.
This app and the lightbulb that goes with it are great. It's nice that it connects via Bluetooth and doesn't need a wifi hub like the Hue and other products out there right now. The scenes provided are pretty cool. But, I do have some issues/suggestions. 1. Sometimes randomly the bulb will disconnect and not be discoverable. The only way to resolve it is to unplug the bulb and plug it back in. Not a big deal, but is annoying. 2. I would be nice to have more granular control over the solid colors. The few colors provided do not allow for the control I would like. Maybe a color wheel type selector like you find within OS X? Something to tap and drag your finger around to find just the color you want. 3. Like I mentioned, the scenes are pretty cool. Maybe offer more of those? Overall I'm pretty happy with this app and the purchase. Thanks!
